DEXTER – Sanger I. Davis Sr., 77, died June 15, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 31, 1934, in Wellington, a son of Jesse and Minnie (Pease) Davis.
He had been employed at Dexter Shoe Co. and was a member of Parian Lodge Masons of Corinna.
He is survived by three sons, Sanger Davis Jr. of Plymouth, Randy and wife, Debbie Davis, of Newport, and Daniel Davis of Levant; a daughter, Julie Gudroe of Dexter; a brother, Robert Davis of Maryland; six grandchildren, Danielle, Veronica, Austin, Brandon, Heather and Erin; two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Davis of Corinna. He was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Davis.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. Burial will be at Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Those who wish may leave written tributes at
