FORT KENT – Adrienne J. Daigle, 90, died June 18, 2011,

at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born July 26, 1920, the daughter of Docite and Elise (Cyr) Daigle of Daigle.

On her 18th birthday, July 26, 1938, she was crowned Miss Potato Blossom Queen in Maine. Adrienne was multi-talented, creative, musically inclined and artistically gifted. She exuded with confidence and personality, and was a master of achieving her goals. She was also an outstanding lady of business – founding, managing and administrating Daigle Trailer Park, Fort Kent. She was a member of Northern Maine Medical Center Hospital Guild and a life member of Les Dames de Ste. Anne. Her generosity, gentle manners and kind heart will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Adrienne was the beloved wife of the late Camille A. Daigle, whom she married November 1940. She was also predeceased by two loving sons, Bruce Daigle, at age 6, of Fort Kent and Rodney J. Daigle, at age 62, husband of Virginia Pinette Daigle of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and brothers and sisters, Romeo Daigle, Leokim Daigle, Eva and her husband, Dave Gagnon, Leonne and his wife, Sylva Ouellette, Bertha and her husband, Patrick Pelletier, Carmen and her husband, Leon Desjardins. She was the devoted mother of Cary A. Daigle and his companion, Rina T., Delbert Daigle and his companion, Gilda B., all of Fort Kent, Jennifer Daigle of Utica N.Y., Mae and her husband, Kenneth Ouellette, of Connecticut, Howard Daigle and his companion, Janice C., of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Doreen Daigle and her husband, Gerard Noel, of Quebec City, Canada; grandmother of, Tammy Tyson, Jill Murphy, Cary Daigle Jr., John Daigle, Andrew Daigle, Angela Beaulieu, Bruce Ferrigan, Crissy Ferrigan, Jennifer Onate, Victoria Fote, Kenny Ouellette, Keith Daigle, Robin Daigle, Crystal Daigle, Tiffany Daigle and Joshua Daigle. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and younger sister, Corrine and Gerard Russell of Old Orchard Beach. The family thanks the staff and personnel at Forest Hill Manor and Northern Maine Medical Center for the many years of devoted care and service and hospice for their compassionate manor.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be afterward at the parish cemetery.
