Tuesday’s celebration kicked off with a barbecue chicken dinner prepared by the Corinth Fire Dept. followed by an opening ceremony with Corinth Historical Society quilt presentation, a poem by Donald Clark and speeches by representives for Maine’s Congressional delegation. The event ended with a flag burning ceremony by American Legion Post 115 of Corinth. More celebrations are to come July 15-17 with a downtown parade, family amusements, history talks and a fireork display.
