PRINCETON – Albert Joseph “Joe” Melanson, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Albert was born July 23, 1941, in Nova Scotia, son of the late Rene and Josephine Melanson.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Leah Durfy of Phenix City, Ala. He is survived by his daughter, Erica Allen and her husband, Patrick, of Bangor; son, David Melanson and his wife, Gail, of Shelton, Conn.; sister, Betty Monk and her husband, Greg, of Princeton; brother, Herbert Melanson and his wife, Charlotte, of Princeton; sister, Annette Melanson of Long Beach, Calif.; brother, Denis Melanson of East Machias; and granddaughters, Emerson Allen and Jenna, Megan and Taylor Melanson. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, friends and poker buddies.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
