ROQUE BLUFFS – Edna K. Preston, 79, beloved mother, died Sunday, July 3, 2011, in Roque Bluffs, after a long illness. She was born Feb. 25, 1932, in Kennebec, the daughter of Hovey and Mary (Bickford) Kilton.

Her strength was an inspiration to her family and loved ones. She was a wonderful mother and will be missed very much by her children.

Edna was predeceased by her husband, Adian; three brothers, Joe, Alton and Ralph Kilton; three grandsons, Craig “CJ” Wood Jr., and twins, Shea and Riley Connolly; and son-in-law, Herbert Wood Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine M. Wood of Machiasport and Marlene Hall and husband, Karl, of Machias; two sons, Ivory “Fuzzy” Preston and wife, Valarie, and Martin Preston of Roque Bluffs; grand-children, Craig Wood and wife, Brenda, of Machiasport, Lynn Connolly and husband, Dennis, of Biddeford, Joshua Preston and wife, Lisa, of Nashville, Tenn., Katie Orr and husband, Jason, of Farmington, Matthew Hall and wife, Suzanne, of Massachusetts, Marcus Hall and wife, Carrie, of Waterville, Micah Hall and wife, Ashley, of Virginia, Tanya Preston of South Portland, Derek Preston of New Hampshire and Emily and Adam Preston of Florida; one sister, Alice Mae Morse of Machias; sisters-in-law, Alta Kilton and Mina Preston of Scarborough, Gail St. Jock of Westbrook, Margaret Preston, Linda Preston and Sherrill Preston of Roque Bluffs; brothers-in-law, Vernon Preston Sr. and Glen and Mina Preston of Roque Bluffs; six great-grand-children, Brooke Wood, Fiona Connolly, Natalee and Jaycee Orr, Adam and Evan Hall; many nieces and nephews.
