ORRINGTON – Michael B. Baker, 61, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, July 8, 2011,
with his loving family by his side, at a Bangor hospital. Michael was born Dec. 9, 1949, in Ashland, the son of William and Cecilia Baker.
He graduated from Ashland High School in 1970. Upon graduation Michael worked at Eastern Fine Paper Co. for 26 years. He was also a member of the local Eagles Club for more than 25 years. Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always making jokes and playing pranks. He was an avid sports fan, with his favorite team being the New York Yankees. He also loved the outdoors, four-wheeling, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Michael was well known for his outgoing personality, making friends wherever he went. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone without expecting anything in return. His loving nature and sense of humor lead him to marry the love of his life, Catherine Baker, in 1982.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Baker of Orrington; his daughter, Michelle Keegan and husband, Isaac Keegan; his son, Joseph Baker; his brothers, Gene and Danny; and his sisters, Sally and Loraine. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Cecilia Baker; his brothers, Gerald and Ray; and his sisters, Deloris and Diane.
