CALAIS — Jordan Perry pitched five shutout innings, striking out seven and giving up three hits while only walking one as Calais defeated Penquis 16-2 in an American Legion baseball game Tuesday.
Jacob Scoville led 8-11 Calais with a triple, three singles and two RBIs, including an RBI triple in a two-run second inning. David Cropley had three singles and an RBI, Adam Geel had two singles and two RBIs, Bryce Colbeth contributed two doubles, and Nick Pineo added two singles and an RBI.
David Lord and Josiah Richard each had doubles, and Brandon Spratt had a single for 1-19 Calais’ three hits.

At Blue Hill, Dustin Sawtelle hit a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the seventh to help lead Lincoln over the Acadians
Sawtelle also contributed two doubles, and Logan McLaughlin had three singles and two RBIs for 10-10 Lincoln.
Nick Kane had three singles, Mike Crowley had a double, single and an RBI and Josh Gale had two isngles and an RBI for 2-16 Acadians.

At Husson University in Bangor, Zak Kochis pitched a four-hitter and retired the last 15 batters he faced to lift Motor City past Hampden.
Kochis struck out one batter and walked on in a complete-game effort, and was backed by an errorless Motor City defense.
Case Estes tripled and Chris Hammond and Max Andrews each hit a sacrifice fly to highlight a two-run first inning that gave 13-8 Motor City the lead for good.
Cameron Archer singled in the second, stole second base and scored on Ryan Carr’s single for the game’s final run.
Reid McGinley, Kevin Frederick, Matt Palmer and Connor Perry each singled for 13-7 Hampden, which got a complete-game five-hit pitching performance from Evan Kingsbury.

Augusta 17, Amato’s 4

At Rockland, Luke Dunklee pitched five innings, giving up five hits and striking out three to get the Zone 2 win as Augusta defeated Amato’s.
Dunklee also had a single and scored four runs, and Colin McKee, Eric Ogren, and Jason Burns each hit two singles. Burns also scored three runs, and McKee and Ogren scored two apiece.
Luke Morrill and Adam Landwehr each hit home runs for 7-8 Amato’s.
