GOULDSBORO – Elinor J. (Rolfe) Campbell, 79, passed away June 22, 2011, at Quarry Hill, Camden, under the tender and peaceful care of Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice.
Elinor had lived in Islesboro for the last few years at Boardman Cottage, Islesboro. It is a special facility for assisted living and provides an extended family to all that reside there. She especially enjoyed the Thursday luncheons and the music provided by the Charlie Pendleton Band and extras. She had a special friend, Mike, and appreciated his attention and humor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart Campbell; and brother, William Rolfe. Elinor is survived by her son, Ronald S. Campbell of Stafford Springs, Conn.; daughters, Connie Leach and her husband, Robert Leach, of Islesboro, and Tracey Campbell and her partner, Kevin Dunning, of Baytown, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua Leach and wife, Sonya, of Islesboro, Andrew Leach and wife, Essie, of Portland, and Tara Leach and partner, Jeremy Brochu, of Thomaston; great-grandchildren, twins Hailey and Abagail Leach of Islesboro, and Jeremy Brochu Jr. of Thomaston; and special extended family, Mark Craig and his daughter, Alexandra Craig.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, at North Gouldsboro Cemetery, also known as West Bay Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Boardman Cottage, 131 Main Road, Islesboro, ME 04848. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth.
