ORONO, Maine — Few details are being released about a delayed report of a sexual assault that occurred on the University of Maine campus a while ago, university spokesman Joe Carr said Thursday.
“We can’t say much about this,” he said, saying the case is under investigation.
The only thing that was released was that a woman called UMaine police at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday.
“Police received a report of an alleged assault on campus … quite some time ago,” Carr said.
Whether the victim was a student was not released, he said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
