Graduation
Army National Guard Pfc. Tatjana G. Francis-Mezger graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla., as an honor graduate, receiving a Letter of Commendation.
Francis-Mezger, a signal specialist, is the daughter of Carl Francis-Mezger and Elvira Mezger of Searsport. She is a 2008 graduate of Searsport District High School.

AUGUSTA — Maj. Gen. John W. Libby, adjutant general, Maine National Guard, announced the promotion to the rank specified for these Maine Army National Guard soldiers:
Trevor Philbrook of Northport, staff sergeant, 120th Regional Support Group, HHD.
Crystal Ryder of Burnham, staff sergeant, HHC 286th COMBAT SUST SPT BN.
Zerkeli Manner of Frankfort, specialist, DET 1 136th EN CO.
Kory Schmidt of Searsport, private 2 , DET 1 262ND EN CO HORIZONTAL.
The soldiers were promoted in June.
