LINCOLN – Marjorie A. Lane, 88, wife of the late Frank L. Lane Sr., passed away July 17, 2011, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born May 7, 1923, in Springfield, daughter of Vinal and Clara (Martin) Downs.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and cook.
She is survived by three children, Sherry Townslee, Nadia Brooke and Fred, and Frank L. Lane Jr. and Rose, all of Arizona; three siblings, Elwood Downs and Diana, Diane Clifford, and Dorothy Savage, all of Lincoln; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Peter Lane; and a sister, Maxine Ware.
Graveside services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday at Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Richardson officiating.
