NEW LIMERICK – Gertrude S. Lake, 94, died July 22, 2011, at a local health care facility. She was born Aug. 29, 1916, in Linneus, the daughter of Guy and Olive (Murchie) Sawyer.
Gertrude attended local schools and Ricker College, class of 1935.
She is survived by one son, Guy Lake and his wife, Sandra, of New Limerick; four daughters, Gloria Guth of Coconut Creek, Fla., Roberta Bray and her husband, Lucas, of Mount Pleasant, Ark., Lois Estabrook of Manchester, N.H., and Sally Fitzpatrick and her husband, Bill, of Hodgdon; 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Sawyer of Presque Isle; many nieces and nephews.
