Reporting games
Guidelines for host team

For Little League baseball and softball all-star games, it is the responsibility of the host team to report the game to the BDN because the host is responsible for providing the official scorer.
The host team is encouraged to report the game as soon as possible on the day it is played and to provide highlights and details for both of the teams in the game. If details, including first names of players, are not given for both teams, then a story will not be published on the game.
The BDN asks for a complete linescore with score by innings and total runs, hits and errors along with all the pitchers and catchers, and innings they entered the game.
Highlights for both teams should include batters who get two or more hits, get an extra base hit or drive in runs.
The BDN toll-free number for reporting games is: 1-800-310-8600. For calls from Greater Bangor, the number is: 990-8275.
An e-mail or fax containing the above game details would also be accepted. E-mail to: bdnsports@bangordailynews.com and fax to: 990-8092.
