BANGOR – Mary E. Hill, 77, died July 23, 2011, in Bangor. She was born Feb. 19, 1934, in Calais, the daughter of Ted and Martha McLain.

She graduated from Calais High School and attended Holy Rosary, St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Mary worked at Frank’s Bake Shop, for the past 20 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Louis P. Hill; a son, Jeffery M. Hill; and two sisters, Jackie Doten and Nancy Mosher. Surviving are three daughters, Joyce Hill-Simpson and her husband, Steve, of Bangor, Mary Lou Craig and her husband, Glen, of Winterport and Teresa Hodges and Aaron Stevens of Bangor; three grandchildren, Mckenzie Craig, Chase Craig and Josh Hodges; one great-granddaughter, Kendal Longtin; five sisters, Joan Maher, Frances White, Anne Asali, Jane Reinhart and Joyce Scharbo; several nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Theresa Soucy, Donna Prescott and her family from Frank’s Bake Shop.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service.
