ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. – Abby Frances Eldridge, 15, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at her home after a 12-year battle with diabetes. She was born Feb. 17, 1996, in Rock Springs, Wyo., the daughter of Kenneth B. and Amanda N.R. Eldridge.
She attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyo., and had completed ninth grade at Rock Springs High School. Her interests were swimming, reading, bowling, ice skating and hanging out with her friends.
Survivors include her parents, Kenneth B. and Amanda N. Eldridge; her little brother, Kody Eldridge, all of Rock Springs, Wyo.; her grammy, Patricia Eldridge of Venice, Fla.; and her grandma, Margery S. Rickart of Casper, Wyo. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Lynn MacGregor of Levant, Marget and Richard Schultz of Grand Junction, Colo., Mark and Terri Eldridge of Brewer, Martha and Scott Weischedel of Casper, Wyo., Spencer and Anna Rickart of Caldwell, Idaho, Verna Eldridge and Sharon Fuller of Veazie, and Melodi and Fred Kalus of Beulah, N.D.; her cousins, Bethany Harrington, Andrew and Steven Schultz, Adam and Natalie Eldridge, Jill and Justin Rollins, Sarah and Stuart Cooper, Katey and Derek and Erin Rickart; and the Blake family. She was predeceased by her grampy, Kenneth L. Eldridge; granddad, William Espy Rickart; along with her aunt, Rose-Ann Blake.
Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs, Wyo. Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Aug. 15 in Rock Springs, Wyo., and announced at a later date.
