BANGOR – Eleanor M. Brown, 94, died July 27, 2011, at her home with family and friends by her side. She was born Sept. 14, 1916, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, daughter of Frederick D. and Gladys E. (Guitar) Wilson.

Eleanor graduated from St. Stephen’s Milltown High School and was a proud international life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

A longtime resident of Brewer, Eleanor is survived by her sister, Thelma Rideout of Calais; one sister-in-law, Alpha Wilson of St. Stephen, New Brunswick; a special niece, Eleanor Bohan; nieces, Karen (Wilson) Brown and Eleanor (Wilson) Lenton; nephews, Brian Foster and Lloyd Wilson; children, Kathy (Brown) Henninger and husband, Roger, Stella (Brown) Santerre and husband, Denis, of Eddington, and Barbara (Brown) Bragg and husband, Danny, of Aurora; daughter-in-law, Connie Brown of Holden; her 10 grandchildren, Michael Brown, Jeffrey Lynn, Justin Henninger, Fred Henninger, Robin (Santerre) McDowell, Jimmy Brown, Philip D. Brown, Angela (Brown) Moore, Amanda Bragg and Jessica (Bragg) Hennigan; 10 great-grandchildren, Britney, Logan, Anna, Amos, Emily, Devin, Naomi, Brendan, Madison, McKenna and soon-to-deliver, Jade; great-nephews, Louis Tracy and Arthur Tracy; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Heather, Kristine, Tyson, Nicholas, Amanda and Andrew. She was predeceased by her first husband, Wilson England, in 1965; second husband, Philip Brown, in 1992; brother, David England; sons, Herald Brown and wife, Janet, and Philip Brown Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Alysia May Brown.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Reeves, pastor of North Brewer/ Eddington United Methodist Church, presiding.
