ABBOT – Milton Junior Carle, 70, died July 29, 2011, at a Brewer health care facility. He was born Oct. 14, 1940, in Sangerville, son of Milton and Avis (Shields) Carle.

He worked as a meat cutter for many years at Starbird’s IGA, Sangerville, and later at Judkin’s Shop ‘n Save, Dover-Foxcroft. He retired as a supervisor from Hardwood Products Co., Guilford, in 2002 to care for his wife. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling, and loved the Red Sox.

He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla (Palmer) Carle; and a brother, Alton Carle. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Alan and Gail Carle of Yarmouth and Brian and Kelly Carle of Corinna; two daughters and their husbands, Lisa and William LaBree of Parkman and Laurie and Rocco Pizzo of Abbot; two sisters, Helen Pearl of South Carolina and Evelyn Sudsbury and her husband, Ronal, of Sangerville; four grandchildren, Julie, Bethany, Izabelle and Ian; several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at Abbot Village Cemetery with Pastor Ray Beless officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at his home on Piper Pond, Abbot. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford. For an online guest register, go to
