HOULTON – Robert H. Hayes 59, died peacefully July 29, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born Jan. 17, 1952, in Worcester, Mass., son of the late Francis D. Hayes Sr. and Marguerite (Derosier) Hayes.

Bob was a master at drywall, painting and papering, and was known throughout the area as being the man to call to do the job. He had a great sense and joy of the woods and loved hunting, especially with his grandchildren. Rebuilding classic cars and trucks was a sideline, but only when he was not with family and friends. He was a dedicated father to his four children and an amazing papa to his 10 grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his mother of Spencer, Mass.; his wife of 32 years, Sandra (Flewelling) Hayes of Houlton; four children, Travis Benson and his wife, Kasey, of Houlton, Stacy Ramsey and her companion, Bruce Greenleaf, of Linneus, April Reynolds and her husband, Brian, of Houlton and Cristy Morrison and her husband, Keith, of Spencer, Mass.; 10 grandchildren, Justin, John, Kyle and Devin Ramsey, Brandon Cassidy, Damon, Noah and Kurtis Reynolds, Kayla Morrison and Jacob Mills; three sisters, Sandra Masiello and her husband, Paul, Karen Sullivan and her husband, Kenneth, all of Spencer, Mass., and Debbie Malpass and her husband, Wayne, of Auburn, Mass.; one brother, Kevin Hayes and his wife, Donna, of Spencer, Mass.; special nephew, Keith Hayes and his wife, Kelly, and their children, Khloe and Kaylee; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father; his brother, Francis Hayes Jr.; and his sister, LouAnn Flewelling.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
