MILBRIDGE – Albert N. Daris, 58, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011. Albert was surrounded by his family, friends and loved ones in his home, as he lost a battle to lung cancer. Albert was born Feb. 13, 1953, in Marlboro, Mass., to Joyce M. Daris and Norman A. Daris.

Albert had two sisters, Donna Cope of Texas and Marion Bamford; and two brothers, Robert Daris of Texas and Michael Daris of Gouldsboro. Albert was married to Arletta Wallace-Daris for 34 years. He enjoyed being on the road as a truck driver, and visiting many different places. Many people knew him from pumping gas at Milbridge Gulf, he was the jolly little man that always had a smile and was willing to help anyone at anytime. Albert loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, and spending many days with them, even though they drove him crazy at times. He was a very loving and caring dad that will never be forgotten. Anytime we called on him you could count on him being there. He loved having family gatherings, and enjoyed watching movies and playing cards with his son-in-law, Michael Dinsmore. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, listening to his old country music, and going to yard sales with his wife, Arletta, and mother-in-law, Mary Wallace. He had two special dogs, Ella and Rosealina, that he loved to sit with and watch TV with. Albert was a very loving and caring husband, dad, granddad and friend that will be missed and never forgotten.

Our Dad, Granddad, Our Angel Your battle is now over,

no more tears flowing down your cheek, no more pain, no more suffering, now you are

no longer weak. I still do not understand why this had to happen to you, but I will be proud to say you are my dad and granddad, the greatest man we ever knew. Although you are not here, we know

you will always be by our

sides with a smile. You were always there for us and never once made us cry, until the

day you closed your eyes and had to say goodbye. Now you are our angel, so spread your wings out wide. Please wrap them around us whenever

you see us cry. Our time

together was memorable and God took you way too fast,

but the most precious thing

to us was you being there

for our first breath and all of

us being there for your last. Love you Dad, Grampy, always and forever, if only heaven weren’t so far away.
