HAMPDEN – Robert “Bobby” P. Reynolds, 80, died Aug. 8, 2011, at a Bangor health care center. He was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Bangor, son of Ralph and Hilda (Casey) Reynolds of Bangor.

Bobby was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1950, and a member of the football team. He was employed for many years in the shoe business with Ansewn and retired from Viner Shoe. Bobby was the owner of numerous racehorses and was an avid harness racing fan. He also was an enthusiastic supporter of the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics.

Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Kathleen M. (Ellingwood) Reynolds of Hampden; three children, Dale R. Reynolds of Euless, Texas, and Orrington, Glenn D. Reynolds of Orrington, and Debbie (Reynolds) Hanley and her husband, Shawn, of Harrington, Del.; four grandchildren, Erica Hanley and her partner, Dylan Davis, Katie Hanley, Jake Hanley, all of Delaware, and Natasha Reynolds of Hermon; one great-grandson, Keegan Patrick Davis of Delaware; one brother, Gerald Reynolds of Enfield; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Ellingwood of Hampden; many nieces, nephews, cousins and all kinds of nice friends.

The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
