SKOWHEGAN, Maine — A local man rescued from the Kennebec River on Saturday remains in critical condition at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Richard Dunton, 64, was seen by a friend of the family floating face down and unconscious Saturday afternoon.
After emergency crews got him breathing on his own, he was moved to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan. He was then moved to EMMC by LifeFlight helicopter.
The Morning Sentinel reports that it was still not known Tuesday why Dunton lost consciousness.
