CORINTH – Bertha G. (Leeman) Dauphinee, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011. She was born July 11, 1930, in Bangor, daughter of Stuart and Irma (Henry) Leeman.

Bertha grew up in Bangor and was a graduate of Bangor High School. She was a resident of Kenduskeag for more than 50 years before moving to Corinth. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed knitting, music and reading.

Bertha is survived by her sons, Timothy Dauphinee of Bangor, Jeff Dauphinee and his wife, Vicky, of Bangor, Joseph Dauphinee and his wife, Cindy, of Kenduskeag, Mark “Skeeter” Dauphinee and his wife, Melody, of Corinth, and Patrick Dauphinee and his companion, Rhonda Hendsbee, of Kenduskeag; daughters, Suzanne Torrey of Bangor and Linda Dauphinee of Corinth; brother, Roger Leeman of Bangor; sister, Josephine Pomroy of Bangor; grandchildren, Krista Jackson and her husband, Clint, Jeffrey Dauphinee and his fiancee, Debora DeBonis, Michelle Southard and her husband, Wayne, Kirk Dauphinee, Ian Torrey, Breanne Torrey and her husband, David Jones, Jenna Wing and her husband, Josh, and Elizabeth Dauphinee; great-grandchildren, Madison, Isaiah, Lacey, Kellen and Kyle; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bertha was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Thomas Dauphinee; a brother, Henry Leeman; and sisters, Priscilla Keeler and Elizabeth Colburn.

Friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. Interment will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio Street, Bangor.
