NEW BROCKTON, Ala. – Christina “Tina” Gallant Emond, 78, wife of the late Richard Emond, died Sunday, July 17, 2011, in Bonifay, Fla. She was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Millinocket, the daughter of Jeremiah and Mabel Gallant.

Tina graduated from Stearns High School and enjoyed a career in real estate.

She is survived by her children, Joseph of West Chester, Pa., and his wife, Shannon; daughter, Melissa Cutler of Atlanta and her husband, Brian; and son, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Jon R. Emond, U.S. Army, retired, of New Brockton, Ala., and his wife, Sukki; grandchildren, Ryan Emond, Elliot Emond and Adam Emond of Rochester, N.Y., Benjamin Cutler, Philip Cutler and Gregory Cutler of Atlanta, 1st Lt. Jason Emond, U.S. Army, and his wife, 2nd Lt. Christina Emond, U.S. Army, of Fort Hood, Texas, and Pvt. Justin Emond, U.S. Army, of Fort Jackson, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Ryan Joseph Emond and Cameron Marie Emond of Rochester, N.Y., and Ryah and Elaine Masten of Fort Hood, Texas; and her brother, Joseph and his wife, Jane Gallant, of Saco. Tina is also survived by her dear in-laws, Judy and Dick Chamberlain of Millinocket and Ralph and Ruth Ann Emond of Raynham, Mass.

A gravesite service of Christian burial for immediate family members is planned for Sept. 16, in Millinocket. Donations in Tina’s memory may be sent to St. Martin of Tours Church, Millinocket.
