ST. AGATHA – Reginald Plourde, 82, died Aug. 12, 2011, surrounded by his family at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born in April 7, 1929, St. Agatha, the son of Pierre and Madeline (Ouellette) Plourde.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Francoise (Martin) Plourde of St. Agatha; one daughter, Carole of St. Agatha; three sons, Paul and his wife, Joyce, of Waterbury, Conn., James and his wife, Mary Ann, of Prospect, Conn., and Tom and special companion, Trish Meaney, of Wolcott, Conn.; three grandchildren, Kristin, Angela and Michael Plourde; one brother, Richard of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 14 siblings.

Reginald was a third degree Knights of Columbus, loved to spend time with family and friends, and loved to play cards and games on the computer.

At his request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating.
