ORONO, Maine — Nearly 2,000 people are expected at the University of Maine’s Summer Tour 2011 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, on the UMaine Mall.
In addition to the barbecue and live music, students and their families will have opportunities to learn about admissions and financial aid, take campus tours, explore academic programs and meet potential future UMaine classmates.

Innovation Connection to display student projects
ORONO, Maine — Student projects will be displayed on Friday, Aug. 19, during the Innovation Connection, the culminating event for the Innovation Adventure Day Camp at the University of Maine.
The Innovation Convention will showcase campers’ projects, including innovative board games, biodegradable products and new playground equipment, in the Foster Center for Student Innovation.

Monson UCC baked bean supper to be held Aug. 27
MONSON, Maine — The Monson United Congregational Church will hold a baked bean supper 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at 159 North Guilford Road.

Dr. Lewis S. Libby School registration
MILFORD, Maine — The Dr. Lewis S. Libby School will begin regular classes on Wednesday, Aug. 31, for students living in Milford and Greenfield.
All new students should register before Aug. 31 if possible by calling 827-2252 to make an appointment. Registration requirements include bring a birth certificate and verification of immunization.
