BUCKSPORT – Charles W. Kimball, 95, died peacefully Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Penobscot Nursing Home. He now joins his wife of 70 years, Ethel M. Kimball, who died Dec. 16, 2009. He was born April 15, 1916, in Bucksport, son of John C. and Lillian E. (Butler) Kimball.

Charles worked at St. Regis paper mill in Bucksport; he retired after 40 years of service.

Charles leaves his special niece, Jeanie Bagley and her husband, Darryl, of Orland, who were Charles and Ethel’s caretakers for the last nine years. He also leaves one sister, Mildred Haskell; one sister-in-law, Virginia Small; as well as three nieces and their husbands, Dianne and Dick Findlay, Donna and Gordon Holmes, and Olivia and Sam Burgess, all of Bucksport; and one nephew, Olain Small. A special thank you to all the “angels” at Penobscot Nursing Home for their wonderful care and love they showed Uncle Charles.

At Charles’s request, there will be no services, burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
