CARIBOU and WOODLAND – Irene T. Dufour, 66, died Aug. 23, 2011, in Van Buren, and is now with the angels and her two best friends, Billy Morin and Marty Bubar, playing cards, listening to music and singing karaoke. She was born March 2, 1945, in Caribou, daughter of the late Leo and Ivy (Bubar) Hebert Sr.
Irene was a loving and caring person. She had a love for life and enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and being with who family and friends. She was truly a unique person and left a lasting impression of all her knew her. Irene had a special love for her grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Robert Roman of Bradford, and Karen and Vincent Anderson II of Woodland; two brothers, Leo Hebert of Caribou, and Richard Hebert and his wife, Sylvia, of Little Madawaska Lake; one sister, Carol Berentes of Westfield; her grandchildren, Stephanie Dufour, Erica, Vincent III and Jacob Anderson, Michael and Anna Roman; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved friend, Bobby Soucy of Connor, who had been a gift from God. Mrs. Dufour was predeceased by her mother, Ivy; her stepfather, Leo Hebert Sr.; and one brother, Robert Bubar.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at First Baptist Church of Woodland with the Rev. Ron Rosser officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery. After the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church dining hall. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou.
