SHINGLETOWN, Calif. – Linwood J. Conners Jr., “Boppy,” passed away suddenly Aug. 20, 2011. He was born June 21, 1948, in Bangor.
He attended Bangor High School and served in the U.S. Navy, 1967-1970.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen S. (Tabarez) Conners; daughter, Aimee (Conners) Leonetti and son-in-law, Daniel; grandchildren, Athena and Marcus; sister, Sandra (Conners) Dorr and husband, Alan Dorr Sr., and their children, Kathy and Alan Jr.; brother, Philip and wife, Sarah, and their children, Shannon and Philip Jr.; numerous relatives living in Maine; friends from PG&E, Shingletown, Calif.; and Fred and George. He was predeceased by his father, Linwood J. Conners Sr.; mother, Lois Marie (Nason) Conners; and by Richard Tabarez and wife, Marjorie B. (Marshall) Tabarez. We will miss him dearly.
Services will be held in private by immediate family members only. Final resting place will be at Northern California Veterans Cemetery, Igo, Calif. Donations in memory of his life may be made to Mercy Hospital, Redding, Calif., or a charity of choice. Arrangements are pending at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel, Palo Cedro, Calif.
