LINCOLN – Brian W. Moore, 56, husband of Linda (Murphy) Moore, died Aug. 27, 2011, at his home. He was born May 22, 1955, in Lincoln, the son of Benjamin and Imogene (Brown) Moore.

Brian worked at the paper mill in Lincoln for 37 years. He enjoyed working on chain saws, lawn mowers and small engines. He liked trains, and loved his family and his cat, Lu. He leaves behind many friends at McDonald’s and was known as a great storyteller.

In addition to his wife, Linda of Lincoln, he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Moore of Lincoln; a sister, Diane Gallant and Ed Lucas; three brothers, Richard Moore and Susan, David Moore and Roberta, and Ben Moore and Morlene Wong; three nieces, Valerie Ketchum, Nicole Moore and Sarah Moore; and one nephew, Richard Moore. He also leaves behind lifelong friends, Kevin Carey and Leslie Jones; and a special friend, John Porter.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where a memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Tim Shaw officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Lincoln Food Cupboard. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
