PITTSTON – Peter G. Leavitt, 64, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at his home. He was born June 14, 1947, in Bangor, the son of Dr. Gerald and Christine Russell Leavitt.
Peter was a graduate of Stearns High School. He was an antique dealer who loved his old telephones, telegraphs and music boxes. He really enjoyed the things of the past.
He is survived by his cousin, Beverly Mingo and her husband, James, of Millinocket; several other cousins; and a close friend, Patrick Walls of Pittston.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, in the family lot at Millinocket Cemetery. Burial will be beside his parents. Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
