LUBEC and BANGOR – Tyler Jeffrey Varney, 19, died unexpectedly Sept. 2, 2011, at his home in Bangor. He was born May 23, 1992, in Machias, the son of Lawrence and Bobbi-Jo (Stafford) Varney.
Tyler loved animals of all kinds. He enjoyed biking with his many friends. There are many wonderful memories of times at camp on Pleasant Lake boating and kayaking. Tyler had a fun personality and had a way to make everyone laugh, and could also be serious and protective. More than anything he loved his dear family and he loved being with his mother and sister.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his dear sister, Mallory Varney; grandfather, Robert Stafford; grandmother, Wanda Varney Burke; uncles, Gary Stafford and Brandon Varney; a cousin, Aaron Stafford; his girlfriend, Chelsea Cobb; and his dear feline friend, Macy.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Christian Temple Church, 41 Main St., Lubec, with the Rev. Daniel Fritschle officiating.
