CALAIS — Austin Porter scored two goals Monday afternoon to lead the Calais Blue Devils to a season-opening 4-2 boys soccer victory over Narraguagus of Harrington.
Nathan Pike registered a goal and an assist for Calais and Jeremy Beers scored the other goal. Jacque Skriletz, Dylan Carter and Adam Geel logged one assist apiece.
Tyler Tenney and Nate Libby scored the goals for Narraguagus.
CARIBOU 6, WA RAIDERS 0
At East Machias on Saturday, Chad Caverhill scored three goals to propel the Vikings to their first win of the season.
Cody Herbert, Nolan McDuffie and Lucien Caverhill scored one goal apiece for 1-3 Caribou. Dean Walker notched two assists, while Adam Collins and Austin Caverhill each had one. Matt Manter made three saves on seven shots.
Gage Feeney and Nick Naye combined to make 12 saves on 27 shots for 0-1 Narraguagus of Harrington.

Mount View 14, Stearns 6
At Larrabee Field in Knox on Saturday, Craig Nealley scored a pair of touchdowns as Mount View of Thorndike defeated defending Eastern Maine Class C champion Stearns of Millinocket in an LTC season opener.
Nealley scored on a 47-yard second-quarter run to give the Mustangs a 6-0 halftime lead, then after Stearns tied the game with a 58-yard kick return for a touchdown by Ryan Hibbs in the third quarter, the senior fullback scored on a 25-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Senior quarterback Jay Babin then rushed for the two-point conversion to give coach Jack Brady’s club an eight-point advantage and help the Mustangs match their win total for the 2010 season.

At Lincoln on Saturday, Sarah Pine scored two goals to spark the Crusaders to a season-opening victory.
Katie Ward and Abby Pine scored a goal each and Sierra Pierce added an assist for JohN Bapst of Bangor. MacKenzi Hayman made seven saves on 11 shots.
Taylor Blood racked up 24 saves on 36 shots for Mattanawcook Academy.

LEWISTON 5, BANGOR 2
At Lewiston on Saturday, Natalie Rousseu and Jenessa Talarico had two goals apiece as Lewiston beat Bangor in a mutual season-opener.
Kelsey Dumond had the other Lewiston goal and Ravon Palmer made five saves on nine shots.
Katherin Dionne and Rachel Douglas scored for Bangor and Rachel Luc and Alicia Himes teamed up for six saves on 17 shots.
