In the season of sunflowers and bachelor buttons you suddenly left. I can still see you on your first day of school waiting with my sisters for the bus. You had long dark braids and smiled bravely. Your gentle dignity, compassion and many acts of kindness are a testament to
the life you lived. I miss you, kiddo, my forever friend.
