HERMON – Maurice “Mo” F. Overlock, 92, died Sept. 8, 2011, in the presence of his wife of 74 years at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Hermon, the son of Millard and Marion (Pomeroy) Overlock.
Morris worked for Cianbro Corp. retiring in 1980 and was a member of Hermon Baptist Church for 47 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed spending time with all of his family.
Maurice is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Murray) Overlock of Hermon; two sons, Marvin Overlock of Levant and Clifford Overlock and his wife, Jackie, of Hermon; three daughters, Elaine Nowell of Hermon, Sharon and her husband, Jason Hamman, and Susan and her husband, Dave Kneeland, all of Cape Coral, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Glenice Phillips; daughter-in-law, Isabelle Overlock; and his son-in-law, Edward Nowell. The family thanks pastors Garnett Chute and Cleo Winngham for their care and concern.
