FREEPORT, Maine — More than 800 athletes are swimming, running and biking in the annual Tri-Maine’s Lobsterman Triathlon.
The race begins Saturday morning at Winslow Park, where participants will swim 1½ miles in the ocean before heading out on a 24-bike ride through Freeport and Brunswick. The race ends with a 6.2-mile run that finishes at Winslow Park.
Organizers say athletes from 25 states and Canadian provinces are competing.
A lobster bake is planned after the race.
