SEBRING, Fla. – Arnold L. Buck, 90, died July 8, 2011, at The Hospice Center, Sebring, Fla. He was a local resident full and part time for 33 years. He was born June 7, 1921, in Searsmont, son of the late Henry and Bessie Buck.

He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Erma F. Buck; a sister, Anna Dillingham; and five brothers, George, Russell, Bernard, Norman and Roland Buck. He is survived by his three daughters, Carol Nesci, Marilyn VanBogelen and Bonnie McIver; a sister, Elura Libby; a sister-in-law, Olive Buck, both of Hampden; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Nesci and Chuck Nesci.

Mr. Buck was a navigator during World War II and was recalled during the Korean War. He was a lifelong civil servant and retired from the Pentagon as a management analyst.

Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home conducted services July 12 in Sebring, Fla. Interment will be 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at Saint Ann’s, Windham.
