Boston is in a free-fall with Tampa Bay poised to take the wild-card playoff spot away from the Sox. If they don’t hang on, what do you perceive as the primary reason for their demise? Injuries? Subpar seasons from the likes of Carl Crawford and John Lackey? The demise of the bullpen, including Daniel Bard’s recent collapse, caused by overuse? Or the managing of Terry Francona, who, for example, has left an ineffective Bard in to pitch his way out of trouble twice in recent games with Toronto only to have him blow both games with closer Jonathan Papelbon looking on from the bullpen.
