CUMBERLAND, Maine — The Cumberland County Fair is kicking off for the 140th year.

The fair in Cumberland gets under way Sunday and runs through Oct. 1.

It’s the largest agricultural event in the county, known for its agricultural exhibits, pig scrambles, giant pumpkin-growing contest and harness racing.

There’s also music, plenty of food, carnival rides and livestock events.

This year there will also be lawnmower races.
