MADAWASKA – Claudette G. Cyr, 70, passed away Sept. 27, 2011, at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born April 11, 1941, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Omer and Leona (Richards) Levesque.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelley Aiken and her husband, Edward, of Felton, Del.; two sons, Glenn Cyr and Tim Cyr, both of Madawaska; six grandchildren, Andrew, Sam, Gabriella, Trevor, Christa and Faith; three sisters, Blanche Daigle and her husband, Gilbert, of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Jeannette Corno of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Georgette Levesque and her companion, Jean-Guy Poirier, of St. Pacome, Quebec; one brother, Andre Levesque of Gatineau, Quebec; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Emile Levesque.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Family and friends may call 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday at Lajoie Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date. For online condolences, please visit
