HOULTON and TEXAS – Gregory Alan Wright, 46, died Sept. 24, 2011, in Garland, Texas. He was born Nov. 18, 1964, in Houlton, the son of Clair Wright and Avis (Sanford) Wright Savoy.
Greg attended Houlton schools and was a graduate of Houlton High School, Class of 1984. He worked many years in Houlton at the former Traveler’s Truck Stop and also as a driver for Unifirst Co. The past 12 years he worked as an armed security guard at a U.S. government facility in Dallas. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, reading and Internet gaming. His outgoing personality and willingness to help others earned him love and respect from family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.
Greg is survived by his son, Dustin Estabrook of Hodgdon; his mother, Avis of Dunedin, Fla.; two sisters, Brenda Wright of Houlton and Sue Wright and her husband, Tim Carr, of Brunswick; his nephew, Jonathan Wright of Frisco, Texas; his niece, Cassie Wright Baugh; and his great-niece, Laureen Baugh, both of Oaklahoma City. He was predeceased by his father, Clair.
