TAMARAC, Fla., and BANGOR – Dorothea “Dot” Kelley, 92, passed away peacefully Sept. 13, 2011.
Dot was a social worker at Bangor Mental Health Institute and volunteered for many local organizations. She will be missed by all who knew her, and the memory of her zest for life will live in our hearts forever.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles L. Kelley. She is survived by her sons, Thomas M. Kelley and his wife, Elizabeth, Edward L. Kelley and his wife, Barbara, and Joseph B. Kelley and his partner, Mark Pooler; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and her brother, Dr. Carl Brennan.
A graveside funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Oct. 2 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Vine Street School Library, 66 Vine St., Bangor, ME 04401.
