Midcoast Sports Hall of Fame
Banquet and Induction Ceremony
ROCKLAND — Tickets for the Midcoast Sports Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony are now on sale. The event, to be held Oct. 15th at the Rockland Elks Lodge, will include dinner, a silent auction and announcement of the Midcoast Male and Female High School Athletes of the Year. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., followed by the inductions at 7. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased until Oct. 8 from board members including Dave Ames, Lou Cook, Charlie Crockett, Steve Durrell, Ashley Hunt, Neil Lash, Frank Leary, Helen Plourd, Don Shields, Dana Verge, Walt White and Sue Wootton. After Oct. 9, tickets increase to $30 each and can only be purchased by calling Ames at 789-5118 or Plourd at 446-1888.

Kevin Richardson (St. Joseph’s sophomore) has been selected GNAC golfer of the week. Richardson shot 79 and 77 in 2 matches during the week.
Amber Dostie (St. Joseph’s freshman) was named GNAC Rookie and Runner of the Week. Dostie finished second at the Rivier Invitationlal with a time of 19:32.
