DOVER, Del., and FORT FAIRFIELD – Clara M. Snow, 91, formerly of Fort Fairfield, died Sept. 27, 2011, at Kent General Hospital, Dover, Del., after an extended illness. She was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Limestone, daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Lavoie) Michaud of Sheridan.
Clara was a communicant of Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Clara was predeceased by two sons, Delbert Soucier and O’Neil Saucier; and eight sisters, Eva King, Rose Archer, Delina Marquis, Bertha York, Ella Boulier, Blanche Campbell, Dorothy Knox and Cecile Ouellette. She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Johnson of Florence, S.C., and JoAnn Cobb and her husband, Philip, of Dover, Del.; 16 grandchildren, a multitude of great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph “O’Neil” Michaud and his wife, Peggy, of Stuart, Fla.; two sisters, Theresa Carney and her husband, Richard, of Sheridan and Edith O’Clair of Presque Isle Nursing Home, Presque Isle.
A memorial service will be held at a later time in Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Clara Snow may be given to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
