Kelly Newton (UMaine senior) field hockey player, scored two goals Saturday in the Black Bears’ 4-3 overtime victory over Albany, including the game-winning, tip-in 2:53 into the extra period.

Molly Carl (University of Southern Maine, junior), women’s cross country runner of the week, won third straight race this season at Bowdoin College Invitational, time of 22 minutes, 38.82 seconds on 6K course.

Will Lundquist (University of Southern Maine, freshman), men’s cross country rookie of the week, helped USM win the Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College, placed 25th in field of 244 with a time of 28:11 on an 8K course.
