ST. AGATHA – Philip “Super” Chasse, 56, died peacefully on his way home Oct. 3, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 4, 1955, in St. Agatha, son of Lucien and Jeanne (Ouellette) Chasse.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Karen (Bosse) Chasse; and two daughters, Carrie (Chasse) Beaulieu and her husband, Timothy Beaulieu, of Hollis, and Shelly Chasse-Johndro and her husband, Steven Johndro, of Lewiston; one precious granddaughter, Charlotte Avery Beaulieau; two brothers, Paul Chasse and his wife, Shirley, of Madawaska, and Donald Chasse and his wife, Louise, of St. Agatha; two brothers-in-law, Allen Bosse and his wife, Danielle, of Florida, and Brian Bosse and his wife, Jane, of Scarborough; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Super was predeceased by his sister, Simone (Chasse) Albert.

Because of his love for farming, he worked part-time at Derosier and Ayotte farms while working full-time at Fraser Papers/Twin Rivers Paper Co., Madawaska, for 33 years. Super was a St. Agatha Volunteer Firefighter, serving for 35 years in several capacities, most recently as the deputy chief. He was also a third degree Knight of Columbus in Council No. 7920 for 30 years, and was a member of Black Bear Rod and Gun Club, St. Agatha ATV Club and United Paper Workers Union. Super enjoyed spending time with family telling stories, riding motorcycle with his friends, being outdoors, special hunting trips with friends and joking with the ones he loved.

Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday, Oct. 7, at Michaud’s Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Valley Church, St. Agatha, with Father David Raymond officiating. Burial will be held at St. Agatha Lower Cemetery with a time of continued fellowship immediately after the funeral service in the church reception area. Condolences may be sent to
