BREWER – Rosalie Arlene (Willey) Rumery, 81, wife of the late Myron Sidney Rumery, died Oct. 5, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Cherryfield, daughter of Herbert and Rinda Willey Sr.

Rose was the vice president of her graduating class at Narraguagus Academy in 1947. She enjoyed eating a good seafood dinner with lobster and scallops, reading, bingo and her pets. She loved dancing and endless talks with her sister, Pat.

She is survived by four children, Barry Rumery and his wife, Andrea, of Ledyard, Conn., Michael Rumery of Brewer, Karen Lund and her husband, Arthur, of Westbrook and Kimberly White and her husband, David, of Carmel; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephew. She is also survived by a special friend, Richard Dunham of Brewer. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Ruth Robinson, Dorothy Churchill, Herbert M. Willey Jr., Marion Beaulieu, Percis Albert and Earl Willey.

A graveside service will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge. Gifts in her memory may be sent to Susan G. Komen Maine Affiliate, P.O. Box 1626, Bangor, ME 04402-1626 or a charity of one’s choice. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth.
