BANGOR, Maine — The city’s East Side was without power for a little over an hour Sunday night.
According to Susan Faloon, spokeswoman for Bangor Hydro-Electric Co., about 6,500 customers were without power at around 9:15 p.m.
On-call line crew members were called to determine what caused the power outage, she said.
Around 10:40 p.m. Bangor-Hydro officials sent out a notice saying the power had been restored to all 6,500 customers and cited a problem with a transformer at the Broadway substation as the cause.
The city’s “tree” streets — Pine, Grove, Birch — and others, as well as parts of Broadway were affected, she said.
