MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Paul J. Dugal, 51, son of Dolores Dugal and the late Gabriel Dugal, passed away Oct. 3, 2011.

Paul was raised in Madawaska. Upon starting his career of culinary arts in Portland, his lifelong career and love took him across the country until finally settling down in Florida. He became a chef and manager to some of the finest restaurants in the area, earning him national recognition and reviews in leading culinary arts journals and periodicals. In his spare time, Paul aided the elderly, AIDS and cancer patients, as well as the homeless of his community.

Paul was predeceased by his father, Gabriel Dugal. He is survived by his mother, Dolores (Chasse) Dugal of Madawaska; eight siblings, Daniel Dugal and wife, Lise, of Saint Jacques, New Brunswick, Michael Dugal and wife, Susan, of Limestone, Therese Charette of Bangor, Lorraine Dugal of Bangor, Anne Dugal of Madawaska, Charles Dugal of Ivoryton, Conn., Louise Doleman and husband, Harvey, of Duluth, Ga., and Louis Dugal and wife, Catherine, of Falmouth; six nephews, five nieces and four great-nieces.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Oct. 29 at Saint David Church, Saint David. Sympathies are one hour before funeral.
