HOULTON – Jean M. Thompson, 80, wife of the late Vaughn Thompson, died Oct. 25, 2011, at a local hospital. She was born June 21, 1931, in Houlton, daughter of Alston G. and Emma (Bither) Estabrook, and was a member of Houlton First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Audbur Thompson and his wife, Ann, of Connecticut, and Doug Thompson of Houlton; three grandchildren, Richard Thompson and his wife, Carola, of New Jersey, the Rev. Micah Thompson and his wife, Jen, of Connecticut, and Elizabeth Dolham and her husband, Scott, of Massachusetts; two great-grandchildren, Emma Thompson and Levi Thompson; two sisters, Eleanor Phillimore of Connecticut and Gladys Hand of Florida; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Vaughn; parents, Alton Estabrook and Emma Sanders; great-granddaughter, Lydia Thompson; and brother, Harold Libby.

Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of the service 1 p.m. Thursday at Dunn Funeral Home with the Revs. Art Myers and Randall Burns officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
