FARMINGTON — Luiz Ristow’s goal 55 minutes into the game lifted the third-seeded University of Maine-Farmington Beavers to a 1-0 men’s soccer victory over No. 6 New England College in a North Atlantic Conference quarterfinal Monday.
Ristow blasted a header into the net off a corner kick from Sean Raph for 9-7 UMF.
UMF advanced to a semifinal at No. 2 Castleton State College.
Derek Reilly made five saves for UMF and Robert Millard made seven for 7-9-3 NEC.
